Services

We know exactly what the Commission can (and cannot) do for you. We can tell you what you need to do to make your case a success. We work exclusively for European producers in both the offensive and defensive areas. If you are unsure whether you have a possible case or if you have a trade issue with a third country, we are quite happy to have an initial complimentary discussion with you. We can also provide you with a feasibility study.

Offensive cases

If your industry is confronted with cheap imports from third countries which may be dumped or subsidised (or both) we can provide you with a full range of services from analysis of the case, gathering of all necessary information from EU producers, filing of the complaint, organising contacts with the Commission, following up and monitoring the case from the initiation to completion of the investigation. We also prepare you for the on-the-spot investigations by the Commission and are present during these investigations. We also carry out any ancillary lobbying activities considered necessary.

Defensive cases

Third countries outside the EU also conduct Trade Defence Investigations against imports from the EU. If your industry finds itself under investigation and is concerned that it may be shut out of important markets outside the EU, we can help you. We can assess the validity of the case against you, assist you in replying to questionnaires and help you during on-the-spot investigations carried out by third country authorities. We also assist you to reply to any other questions posed by those authorities. Frequently, third countries do not apply the same high standards as the EU in their use of Trade Defence Instruments and often use WTO rules inappropriately. We can help you spotting breaches of WTO rules and stop investigations carried out in breach of those rules.
